Massachusetts drone terrorist

Does this sound familiar? "The FBI undercover agents provided Ferdaus with the money to buy the drones, but law enforcement officials said Ferdaus came up with the idea for the attack. Prosecutors said Ferdaus “was presented with multiple opportunities to back out of his plan, including being told that his attack would likely kill women and children,” but that he “never wavered in his desire to carry out the attacks.”" [Mass. man accused of plotting to hit Pentagon and Capitol with drone aircraft.]

It is an all too familiar scenario where the FBI is involved in possible enticement to commit the crime. See post on the Portland terrorist and this one too. Another Muslim?



A hint at a Muslim connection. According to the article the 'terrorist' was "a U.S.-born citizen of South Asian background." I am not too sure what to think of that but Wikipedia has this: "According to the United Nations geographical region classification,[2] Southern Asia comprises the countries of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran, Maldives, Nepal,Pakistan, and Sri Lanka."

A USA Today article was less circumspect about a Muslim connection. They used this quote from a FBI court document: "During various recorded meetings, Ferdaus envisioned causing a large psychological impact by killing Americans, including women and children who he referred to as enemies of Allah," federal investigators alleged in the documents."

It is too easy to conclude from these FBI terrorist stings that Muslims are out to destroy the US. It seems that only Muslims are terrorists. But it is just as easy to conclude that the FBI is wrongfully targeting a population segment with their efforts to find (make) terrorists. [See post.]
